Oakland, CA, United States, 7/1/2009 –

AIA EB YAF After a long process that started back in 2003, the Deerfield One project located in Menlo Park has recently obtained LEED Silver rating. The project is a 42,000sf office building built on a brown field. The owners of the building are mindful of the environment and felt that obtaining LEED certification would be appropriate because of their efforts to mitigate the existing brown field site. All project team members understood the importance of achieving LEED certification and worked hard to adhere to LEED requirements, resulting in a truly collaborative effort. GLA served as the LEED administrators on this project, providing guidance, insight, assistance and experience to the rest of the team. The original target level was LEED certified but their efforts garnered a LEED silver rating.
